Unknown to many people getting a round of golf that is stress-free depends on many things, but mainly, your golfing gear makes all the difference. The more you have with you the better. It is always bête to go prepared. Do you have the best gloves? Clubs? Balls? Just find out everything that you need to bring with you to play an exciting round of golf. The good thing is that there is a lot of information regarding this and so you should find it easy to get what you need.
Ok, many people know about balls. After all, they are the ammunition that you will fire with the clubs. When I am practicing for some serious show with the big boys, I prefer to use my old balls for practice so that I can preserve the life of my new ones. Either way, you know you cannot play without balls, so, balls in the bag!
Do not forget your rain gear. I did once and I was soaked to my undies, yet I could not stop paying until I had finished my round. Rain gear includes rain gloves, raincoat, jackets and even pants. Your golf bag should be waterproof so that even if it rains, the clubs stay dry. That way, they will not slip out of your hands as you tee off. Remember to bring an umbrella as well.
Carry some medical kit with you. Nothing fancy, maybe a painkiller for a headache because there will be a lot of walking, more than you have been used to. Also include a few bandages, an antiseptic for cuts and scratches, wraps and a small knife or scalpel. Anything can happen in the golf course.
Bring an extra pair of socks. Ok, this is something that we all forget. I used to forget it all the time, until one day when I was doing a 36 hole course and I dipped my feet in a puddle of water. I continued playing with my socks soaking wet and the following day, I could hardly wear shoes to work because there were nasty cracks between my toes. I learned my lesson the hard way.
Remember your gloves. Bring two or three pairs. They are light and so they should add no extra weight to your bag. You can use one pair for practice, the second pair for serious play and the third pair… well, keep it aside just in case you have to make a change.
Other items include tees. You will need them for teeing off. Although it cannot be categorized as gear, you need to bring your sunscreen with you if you are playing in summer. It is paramount for the protection of your skin. Who wants to get melanoma from playing golf? Be smart.
Because golf has gone tech, you must also bring your rangefinder with you. Choose one that is specifically made for playing golf as it will have features that one made for hunting does not have. But here, many people get confused because they do not know what to buy. Personally, I have used quite a few of them, and I can give you some sound advice regarding this.
